A heretical symbol of chaos and destruction, the golden eyed monkey king, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven: Sentai Taisen Son Goku. Once upon a time, he resided in Heaven, and during that time he created most profound bonds and committed a horrible crime. As punishment, he was banished and imprisoned at the summit of Mr. Gogyou. His memories of his time in Heaven were also seared away, images of the beloved people he knew and even knowledge of the reason why he was being punished were gone. All he could remember was that he was called Son Goku, and that someone would be looking for him.

500 years later, 500 years of watching the sun rise and fall through the bars of his prison, a new sun rose before him. Genjou Sanzo followed the “voice” calling him to Goku’s location, freeing the boy and ultimately taking him in.
